On February 16, 2023, the JKPC Session approved a team of two Interim Pastors for JKPC: Pastor Don Strongman and Pastor Garrett Yamada. Their Bios are below. And CLICK HERE for a special messages from the Pastors and info about the Mission Study
 Welcome Pastor Garrett Yamada
Rev. Garrett Yamada has been in ministry for over 40 years. He has served in churches in both Northern and Southern California, as well as in the Philippines. Two weeks ago, he said farewell to the First Presbyterian Church of Newark where he served as the Pastor for over 13 years. He is married to Stephanie, with 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.
Welcome Pastor Don Strongman
Before being ordained in the PC (USA) Don had a long career in public education as a teacher and administrator. He has served in several churches as Pastor, including helping to pastor the Yogyakarta International Congregation in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Sort of retired, he continues to substitute, work as an interim administrator, help out churches as pulpit supply and keeps busy with community work. He lives in Stockton, loves to travel, reads lots of books and watches movies and most recently bought an ebike, which he dearly loves as it is all the fun of riding a bike but none of the hard work!
